ELF studio cream eyeliner

Good afternoon bloggers! I'm getting back into blogging so here are my thoughts on a product that i have been using on a daily basis for the past two weeks. Approximately three weeks ago i placed my first ever ELF order which consisted of a few studio and regular items as i heard they had a major re-stock and added a few new items to their studio range which included this cream eyeliner. i couldn't wait to get my hands on this as i had been dying to try a cream eyeliner since i have always used liquid liner. I was contemplating buying the Bobbi brown gel eyeliner/MAC fluidline until i found out ELF had just introduced this to their line at a purse friendly price of a mere £3.50! i thought it was a good idea to try the ELF version because if i didn't like the cream eyeliner then i wouldn't be wasting too much money.

I found that the service was really good especially as i got free delivery on my order - i recieved my box of goodies after two working days! i really wasn't expecting it to come so quickly. if you want to keep up to date with ELFs offers and promotions then just join their facebook page. whenever they reach a certain number of fans they give free postage (which happens quite often) and packaging or free gifts.

What ELF say: 'Creates smooth lines that are defined and precise. Smudge-proof, budge-proof and water-resistant coverage for all day wear to combat against, sweat, tears and rain!'

My initial thoughts: When i opened the box, i was genuinly surprised at how well the packaging of the eyeliner looked. i love how its square, rather than round like a lot of the eyeliners on the market. the first time i tried the eyeliner it felt so soft and creamy, i couldn't believe how easy it was to apply without making any mistakes at all. i love how i can now create an identical wing shape on each eye without having to attempt it 2+ times with liquid liner. the only problem that has occurred when i use this product is that it transfers onto my eyelids as i have quite hooded eyes - i can't not blink to keep my eyes open for more than a minute to wait for it to dry! i have carried on using this eyeliner everyday eventhough it does smudge, mainly because it doesn't irritate my eyes and i have extremely watery eyes so the eyeliner flake or fade away halfway through the day like my liquid eyeliner does.

Pros:
Lasts throughout the day
Quick to apply
Effortless application
Cheap and cheerful
Natural looking in comparison to liquid liner
Easy to remove

Cons:
Smudges
Transfers onto my under eye
Smells cheap - like kids freebie make up from magazines
Colour isn't very intense
Takes a while to dry
Have you tried this eyeliner before? What do you think of it?

  3. I still love this creme eyeliner though! It's great for smokey eyes and you can set it so it won't smudge :D
